    JOB FUNCTION AND SCOPE\n \nThe Pacific\u2013Mountain Region Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth across the western U.S. and Canada by managing independent sales representatives, developing regional strategies, and strengthening customer and channel relationships. The role works closely with architects, designers, contractors, distributors, wholesalers, engineers, builders, and other stakeholders to increase product awareness, protect specifications, reduce substitution risk, and convert qualified opportunities into sales. The position also supports product education, trade shows, industry events, and project execution from specification through installation. Success is measured by regional sales growth, strong agent and customer relationships, effective self-directed execution, and the ability to communicate the value of Geberit's specialized solutions.\n \nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n \nRegional Sales Management & Execution\n\n Own regional sales execution by developing and implementing Pacific\u2013Mountain Region sales plans, account priorities, budgets, goals, and growth initiatives.\n Work independently to plan regional activity, prioritize opportunities, manage follow-up, and make sound decisions with limited day-to-day supervision.\n Develop targeted outreach plans for showrooms, builders, designers, architects, wholesalers, contractors, distributors, engineers, and other priority market stakeholders.\n Monitor performance against sales, margin, market share, and other key objectives; identify gaps and drive corrective action with agents and internal partners.\n \nAgent Leadership & Market Coverage\n\n Lead independent sales representatives/agents, including both large, multi-person agencies and smaller agencies, to achieve regional sales goals, execute company priorities, and maintain effective market coverage.\n Establish a consistent regional operating cadence with agencies of varying size and maturity, including sales performance reviews, pipeline reviews, market coverage discussions, project follow-up, and next-step accountability.\n Coach agents on Geberit product applications, technical features, competitive positioning, account development, project defense, and channel engagement.\n Conduct joint calls, market visits, project reviews, and customer meetings with agents to support account development and project execution.\n Adapt management, coaching, and communication approaches to the needs of both larger agencies with multiple team members and smaller agencies with limited resources.\n Evaluate agent performance, identify training or coverage gaps, support succession planning, and recommend representation changes when warranted.\n \nChannel & Stakeholder Relationship Management\n\n Build and maintain productive relationships with key showrooms, builders, designers, architects, contractors, wholesalers, distributors, engineers, purchasing teams, and other stakeholders that influence sales conversion and project execution.\n Partner with showrooms, builders, designers, architects, wholesalers, and distributors to increase product awareness, customer engagement, product availability, and project follow-through.\n Lead customer meetings, product presentations, training discussions, and joint sales calls to strengthen preference for Geberit products and improve customer confidence.\n Educate customers, agents, and project stakeholders on Geberit's specialized product applications, value proposition, installation considerations, and advantages versus conventional alternatives.\n Support upstream influencers, including designers and architects, when their work impacts showroom, builder, or downstream project decisions.\n \nSpecification Protection & Project Execution\n\n Partner with the Region Specification Manager and agents to coordinate project meetings, bid follow-up, value-engineering responses, jobsite discussions, and product application conversations that help move projects from specified to sold and installed.\n Engage downstream project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, wholesalers, engineers, distributors, purchasing teams, and jobsite contacts, to reinforce product intent and reduce substitution pressure.\n Track project status, stakeholder commitments, substitution risks, competitive activity, and required next steps in CRM or designated tracking systems.\n Provide practical product, installation, and application support to help contractors, wholesalers, engineers, and project teams execute Geberit solutions correctly and efficiently.\n \nEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION\n \nRequired:\n\n Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.\n 5+ years of Building Products Channel experience.\n Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, manage a remote region, and maintain accountability with limited day-to-day supervision.\n Experience managing independent sales agencies or rep organizations of varying size, capability, and market coverage.\n Ability to sell, train on, and support specialized or niche building products that require technical understanding, stakeholder education, and consultative value-based selling.\n Working knowledge of the sales process, creation of a sales plan, legal ramifications of sales policies and establishing a sales budget.\n 5+ years of experience developing customer relationships.\n Proficient in all MS Office applications, including TEAMS.\n Hands-on experience with CRM software.\n \nKey Competencies\n\n Deep understanding of specification selling and project pipeline management\n Strong understanding of the construction lifecycle and specification process\n Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate complex systems into design solutions\n Consultative selling approach with the ability to build confidence in specialized products through education, technical credibility, and stakeholder influence.\n High-level relationship management and skill in influencing without authority\n Strategic thinking with a proactive, opportunity-driven mindset\n* Self-directed work style with strong time management, follow-through, and ability to balance long-term pipeline development with near-term project execution.\n\n
