Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The Florida Department of Environmental Protections Division of State Lands (Division) serves as Floridas lead agency for environmental management and stewardship and acts as staff to the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund.
The Divisions work goes far beyond land acquisition. The Division oversees more than 12 million acres of public lands across Florida, including lakes, rivers and islands. These lands provide opportunities for residents and visitors to explore, connect with and appreciate Floridas one-of-a-kind natural landscapes.
The Divisions Revenue Section plays a vital role in supporting this mission by ensuring that fees and revenue generated from activities on Board of Trustees-owned lands are accurately collected and tracked. This work helps sustain the responsible management of Floridas public lands. The Divisions Revenue Section is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable candidate to support its operations.
Duties Include:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of: The methods of data collection and analysis; office procedures and practices. Skills in: Use of various office equipment, a computer with Microsoft Office Applications, including Outlook and the internet; principals of effective customer service Ability to: Collect, evaluate and analyze data; solve problems; document work flow; organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, process documents and other written materials; conduct fact-finding research; utilize problem-solving techniques; understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to revenue collection; communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; and work independently.
Pay:
$19.00 hourly
