Our Client, a Financial company, is looking for an Operations Specialist for their Richmond, VA location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Use Google Suite products daily: Calendar, Gmail, G-Drive, Sheets, Slides, Documents, and Forms.
  • Use additional digital tools: Slack, AssetTrack (ServiceNow)
  • Manage inventory: record all items received, shipped, moved, etc. in electronic systems; maintain multiple digital tracking docs; participate in weekly cycle counts
  • Assist with Sending/Receiving shipments: load/unload trucks, check-in/verify items, prep freight for shipping, update physical labels, and update digital trackers.
  • Participate in quality management program: follow guidelines and use checklists to conduct QA/QC checks, capture data, archive QA/QC paperwork and photographs, conduct regular cycle checks
  • Attend and complete training/certification for powered hand truck use (stacker and pallet jacks paid for by Client); use electric and manual pallet jacks, use pallet jacks daily and walkie-reach-stacker as needed; conduct daily inspections of warehouse equipment.
  • BAU Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, labeling, and shipping orders accurately to ensure on-time delivery; communicate with internal teams/customers and external partners; manage inventory to ensure proper stock;
  • Project Order Fulfillment: work with project managers to develop packing and shipping schedules; manage inventory of project hardware and accessories; provide project updates as needed (daily, weekly, etc.)
  • Processing Received Inventory: Add to inventory trackers, inspect/test as needed, store incoming stock, and conduct inventory counts to check for discrepancies (and resolve as needed).
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as electric and manual pallet jacks.
  • Record Keeping and date entry: manage inventory trackers, update inventory data using warehouse management systems (Google suite of products, Asset Track, & ServiceNow), enter data manually and with handheld scanner.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, up to 50 lbs is required; ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for long periods of time; exposure to varied temperatures (some areas are not climate controlled).
  • Typical working conditions: Fast-paced environment with; meticulousness to ensure orders are correct and inventory is accurate; Maintain a clean working environment; keep work area neat and tidy; follow safety protocols; report potential hazards; adhere to OSHA standards.
  • Communication: Ability to work well in a team; follow instructions; communicate effectively with team members, partners, and customers
  • Maintain a consistent focus on safety, teamwork, quality, and communication
  • Work standard operating hours of Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (overtime available weekly but not required).
  • Good candidates will exhibit the following characteristics: Google Suite proficiency, teamwork, excellent communication skills, attention to detail (particularly with data entry/integrity), and adherence to safety protocols.
 
Requirements:
  • Top Skills (Must have) Google suite proficiency
  • Preferred Skills (Like to have) Order fulfillment or warehouse experience
  • Not looking for heavy warehouse background, but need candidates who are technically strong (Knowledge of Digital / ATM machines, software etc), a large Tech company suite (G-sheets),
  • Manager is ready to consider fresh College graduates who have strong Digital / Tech background and knowledge of warehouse.
  • Warehouse exp is not a deal breaker here. Manager will consider candidates who are strong in Digital exp and G-Sheets background. Candidates should have strong communications.
  • Operations Specialistwill focus on order fulfillment (BAU and project) and assisting with QA/QC staging.
  • Involves data/inventory focus and must understand operations of the overall warehouse
  • Experience with google formulas
  • Break/fix strategy
