Office Manager Information (please see announcement link for specific duties and requirements)

Office Operations, Supervision & Customer Service

Supervises and performs administrative and operational work. Provides direct supervision, coaching, training, evaluation, workload prioritization, cross-training, and performance management for office support staff; develops and monitors procedures and workflows and ensures continuity of service.

Human Resources, Payroll & Employee Engagement

Serves as the department's lead administrative liaison for human resources and payroll and supervises or performs related administrative work.

Financial, Purchasing & Contract Administration Support

Provides oversight, direct support, and coverage for departmental financial functions. Assists with budget development and monitoring, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and other financial activities when needed.

Board, Communications, Public Information & Records

Coordinates county communications and approval processes and supervises or performs Board, public-information, and records work

Facilities, Technology, Safety & Asset Coordination

Serves as the department's primary coordinator for facilities, information technology, safety, building access, and administrative assets.

PUBLIC SERVICE LOAN FORGIVENESS

Marion County is a qualifying public employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, full-time employees working at the County may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Student Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan. Questions about your student loan eligibility should be directed to your loan servicer or the US Department of Education.

VISA SPONSORSHIP

Marion County does not offer VISA sponsorship. Within three days of hire, you will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Security's I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States. Marion County is an E-Verify employer and will use E-Verify to confirm that hires are authorized to work in the United States.

VETERANS' PREFERENCE
