Position Information

This positon is an 8 hour/day position, scheduled to work 260 days per year. The starting hourly rate is $23.61 per hour. This position is fully benefit eligible, please click here to review the full contract and benefits offered.

Nature of Work

Incumbents are responsible for performing standard clerical and office support. Responsibilities may include: answering phones and directing calls; greeting visitors; sorting and distributing mail; and maintaining records and reports.

Typical Class Responsibilities

  • Performs reception duties including: greeting students and visitors in person or over the telephone; answering phones and directing calls; maintaining visitor security procedures, logs, and badges; and notifying staff of visitor arrivals.
  • Performs routine clerical duties including: receiving and distributing mail and packages; maintaining employee mailroom mailboxes; filing, faxing, copying, and printing; setting up meetings; maintaining office supplies; and issuing and maintaining parking permits.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Training and Experience Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D)

Physical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
