    Description

    Position: Resource Coordinator & Educator

    Department: Pain Center

    Shift: Full-time Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm / 80 Hours per Pay

    Facility: Miami Valley Hospital & Miami Valley Hospital South

    The Pain Center Resource Coordinator and Educator works in collaboration with the Pain Center Program Manager to ensure quality standards of care and assists in coordination of Department Performance Improvement activities. The incumbent also serves as the Nurse Educator and functions as a Resource Nurse, overseeing the orientation process, and assisting with students. As a Registered Nurse, also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care for patients in varying stages of the Pain Center Procedural area. Pain Center nurses are accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.

    Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is required.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio RN license; Current CPR and ACLS certification required at the time of hire. Current certification in area of specialty preferred or demonstrated expert clinical skills in area of specialty.

    Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years of hospital RN experience is required. 1 year experience as a Pain Center Nurse. Teaching/preceptor and critical care experience is preferred.

    Knowledge/Skills:

    o Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor

    o Basic computer knowledge

    o Strong organization skills

    o Effective interpersonal and communication skills
