Job Title: Municipal Prepay Energy Origination & Structuring Executive Director

Job Overview:
A leading global financial institution is seeking an experienced Executive Director to join its Energy Origination & Structuring team, with a focus on municipal natural gas and power prepayment transactions and other structured energy financing solutions.
The role requires close collaboration with public finance, legal, credit, risk, liquidity, tax, and trading teams to originate, structure, model, and execute complex long-dated energy transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the identification, origination, and execution of municipal natural gas and power prepayment transactions.
- Structure, model, and execute complex energy financing transactions, coordinating with legal, credit, tax, liquidity, market risk, and trading partners.
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with prepaid suppliers, municipal aggregators, utility clients, qualifying use participants, load-serving entities (LSEs), joint action agencies, public power organizations, and community choice aggregators.
- Partner with trading desks to source physical supply and implement hedging strategies supporting long-term structured energy transactions.
- Drive transactions from initial structuring through execution while ensuring adherence to regulatory, risk management, and governance requirements.
- Collaborate across banking, trading, and corporate functions to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Provide market insight on regulatory developments, industry trends, and innovations within municipal energy and tax-exempt financing markets.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in capital markets, commodities, energy origination, structured finance, municipal finance, or related markets-focused roles.
- 5+ years of experience at a leading financial institution, energy merchant, commodity trading firm, or similar organization.
- Proven experience originating and executing municipal natural gas and/or power prepayment transactions.
- Deep understanding of physical energy markets, structured energy finance, and tax-exempt municipal financing structures.
- Strong financial modeling and transaction structuring capabilities, particularly for non-recourse and structured energy financing.
- Established network and credibility with municipal entities, public power organizations, utilities, energy suppliers, and other key market participants.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
