NOW HIRING: MEDICAL DATA ENTRY CLERK (PATIENT DEMOGRAPHICS)

We are seeking a highly accurate and fast-typing Medical Data Entry Clerk to manage patient demographic information while supporting front-end customer service. This role combines precision data entry with patient interaction in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain patient demographic data (names, DOB, insurance, contact details) in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Verify patient information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with healthcare standards
  • Perform high-volume data entry with speed and attention to detail
  • Assist with data audits and corrections to ensure record integrity
  • Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, or chat in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide clear information regarding services, policies, and patient records
  • Document all patient interactions in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Collaborate with medical staff, billing departments, and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional healthcare or administrative training is a plus)
  • Fast and accurate typing skills (high WPM preferred)
  • Experience with data entry, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
