Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Boulevard, OK. The ideal candidate must have experience in mechanical engineering within a regulated industry, preferably aerospace and defense, along with knowledge of FAA certification requirements and repair station operations.
Rate Range: $65/hour to $80/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Mechanical Engineer job responsibilities include:
Support and implement FAA Repair Station (FAR-145) engineering activities and component repair solutions.
Evaluate technical feasibility, troubleshoot production issues, and develop corrective engineering solutions.
Develop and support DER repair packages and engineering repair methodologies for aircraft components.
Plan, execute, and manage engineering projects including scope definition, milestones, deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
Review designs and engineering documentation for compliance with engineering principles, customer requirements, FAA regulations, and company standards.
Conduct engineering analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other technical evaluations as required.
Coordinate activities related to design development, testing, production support, and certification requirements.
Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, project summaries, and customer deliverables.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or higher from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 3 years of engineering experience within a regulated industry such as: Aerospace, Defense, Aviation, Manufacturing.
Knowledge of FAA certification requirements and FAA FAR-145 Repair Station operations preferred.
Experience with Mechanical Design, Engineering Analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Product Development, Repair Engineering & Technical Documentation.
Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting aircraft component repairs and maintenance programs.
Familiarity with Designated Engineering Representative (DER) repair processes.
Experience working directly with customers and regulatory agencies.
Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and certification processes.
Experience supporting engineering programs through testing, validation, and production implementation.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $68.00 per hour
