Payrate: $35.00 - $36.00/hr.
 
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

• Support Senior Engineer by completing design tasks.
• Potential for additional responsibility depending on experience and demonstrated success in the role.
• The worker will be performing entry-level duties and should have a genuine interest in this aspect of the role.

 
Typical task breakdown:

• Concept design and part modeling using Creo.
• Stress & life analysis

 
Education & Experience Required:

• Years of experience: 2-4 years
• Degree requirement: BS in Mechanical Engineering – relevant (Manufacturing, Automotive)
• No 2 year degrees
• Masters must still have 2 years of experience

 
Top 3 Skills:

• Creo 3D modeling (and specifically Creo, not another modeling software)
• Reading technical drawings & prints
• Mechanical design experience

 
 
Additional Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Creo
• Understands basic geometric tolerancing
• Mechanical design experience
• Proficient in Creo Simulate FEA
• Experience in steel or iron casting design
• APQP knowledge
• Practical / hands-on experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude

 
Soft Skills:

• Strong initiative
• Effective verbal & written communicator
• Can manage individual tasks to meet deadlines
• Open to input & feedback from others
• Works well with other engineers, suppliers, and internal process partners
• Eagerness to learn new things

 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $35.00 - $36.00 /hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
