Maintenance Technician

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our client’s team at (1) of their properties in Eagan, MN (55123). The ideal candidate will have 3 years in residential maintenance – multi-family is required, HVAC experience, have general maintenance knowledge, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. CPO and Boilers license experience is required, certifications are highly preferred.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am – 430pm and on-call rotation is every 6 weeks. This role is a direct hire role.

Salary: $27-$29/hour DOQ.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing various maintenance functions that are necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the property.
• Work with the maintenance team and management to ensure the quality of work meets the standards set by the owner.
• Perform tasks associated with electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls and building exteriors.
• Pool maintenance and testing may be applicable.
• Make units ready for new move-ins.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in residential/multi-family maintenance.
• Willingness to advance within the field (continuing education and certification opportunities available)
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• CPO and Boilers experience is required – certifications are highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to communicate with residents, co-workers, and management
• Regular, on-time attendance.
• Valid and Current Driver's License and Proof of insurance
• Be able to pass a background check prior to employment.
