Description

Role: Logistics Specialist

Location: San Diego, CA (in-office)

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 / yr + stock options, 401k matching, and other benefits

Role Overview:

At Seasats, we're building unmanned surface vessels (USVs) and deploying them around the world in support of critical government and commercial missions. Our pace is fast, our customers have high expectations, and every shipment matters.

We're looking for a Logistics Specialist to ensure every customer receives a world-class experience. This person will coordinate domestic and international shipments, prepare documentation, research import/export requirements, maintain operational readiness, pack shipments, and solve the countless logistical challenges that come with supporting customers across the globe.

More importantly, this role owns the customer's first impression.

Before a customer ever launches one of our vessels, they've already formed an opinion based on how it arrives. Every package that leaves Seasats represents our company. From the documentation inside the box to how every component is packed and presented, we expect every shipment to reflect the pride we take in our products.

We want someone who naturally thinks from the customer's perspective and asks: "If I were opening this shipment for the first time, would I be impressed?"

You'll serve as the final check before our products leave the building, ensuring every shipment is complete, organized, professional, and mission-ready. We don't just deliver autonomous vessels, we deliver confidence.

If coordinating complex shipments, solving international logistics challenges, maintaining operational readiness, and creating an exceptional customer experience sounds exciting, you'll be a great fit. If spending two hours working through customs paperwork or tracking down a delayed shipment sounds miserable, this role probably isn't for you.

Role Details:

In this role, you'll work closely with project managers, engineers, production, field operations, shipping providers, and customers to ensure every deployment is successful.

About Seasats:

At Seasats, we're passionate about delivering maritime robotics solutions to redefine the maritime industry. Our primary products are unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), designed to carry sensors at sea for months at a time. Our USVs provide persistent monitoring and data acquisition to defense, scientific, and commercial customers, and have autonomously crossed both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. After thousands of years in which the only way to gather information from the ocean was to put people on a boat, these uncrewed vessels are transforming how humanity monitors and interacts with the ocean. Here, you'll find the space and opportunity to do your life's best work.

Along with your salary, you'll receive perks including:

  • Stock options
  • Competitive insurance (including a 99% employer-covered Gold HMO plan or other options)
  • 401k matching up to 4% of salary
  • Four free lunches per week
  • An employee activity fund
