    Job Overview

The Logistics Specialist independently executes logistics tasks across receiving, inventory control, kitting, and outbound shipping with minimal oversight, ensuring accuracy in ERP and WMS transactions. This role resolves routine discrepancies, coordinates with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and contributes to cycle counts and process improvements. The Logistics Specialist reliably handles standard domestic and international shipments within compliance guidelines and participates meaningfully in team discussions on workflow efficiency, partnering closely with Production, Planning, and Procurement.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute day-to-day logistics tasks across receiving, inventory control, kitting, and outbound shipping with minimal oversight.

    • Process and audit ERP and WMS transactions for accuracy, including receipts, transfers, kitting, and shipment documentation.

    • Resolve routine inventory and shipment discrepancies, coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to close them out.

    • Handle standard domestic and international shipments within compliance guidelines, including basic shipping and customs documentation.

    • Contribute to cycle counts and physical inventories, and help identify and implement minor process improvements that raise team accuracy and efficiency.

    • Review own work and, where applicable, support peers in checking transactions and documentation for consistency and adherence to professional standards.

    • Independently manage daily priorities across assigned workstreams and drive tasks to completion without close supervision.

    • Proactively research solutions to routine problems and propose next steps rather than waiting for detailed instruction.

    • Participate meaningfully in team discussions on workflow efficiency, flagging bottlenecks and suggesting fixes.

    • Escalate non-routine or higher-risk issues to the Logistics Manager with context and a recommended course of action.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.

    • 3-5 years of logistics experience spanning receiving, inventory control, kitting, or outbound shipping, ideally in aerospace, defense, maritime, or advanced manufacturing.

    • Working proficiency with ERP and WMS systems, with the ability to execute and audit transactions independently.

    • Familiarity with part numbering conventions, basic shipping documentation, and domestic/international customs requirements.

    • Experience resolving routine inventory and shipment discrepancies and coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage daily priorities, and drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight.

    • Experience contributing to cycle counts, physical inventories, or process improvement initiatives.

    • Excellent written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

    Physical Demands

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

    • Occasional standing and walking within the office

    • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
