Litigation Paralegal

About the Opportunity
A well-established national law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Tampa office. This position will support attorneys handling complex civil litigation matters and is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented paralegal who is comfortable managing cases in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have 6+ years of hands-on litigation experience, strong knowledge of court procedures and filings, and experience supporting matters throughout the litigation lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Support attorneys with all phases of litigation, from case initiation through discovery, deposition, trial preparation, and resolution
- Review, organize, maintain, and manage case files and supporting documentation
- Draft and prepare pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, interrogatories, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Coordinate the collection, review, organization, and production of documents for discovery
- Perform case-related research and assist attorneys with gathering relevant information
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and other involved parties
- Assist with deposition preparation, including organizing exhibits, documents, and witness materials
- Support pre-trial investigations and preparation of witnesses for depositions and trial
- Prepare trial exhibits, witness binders, demonstrative evidence, and other materials for hearings and trials
- Calendar and coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, deadlines, and other case-related meetings
- Monitor court deadlines and assist with State and Federal court filings
- Maintain accurate and organized case records while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of relevant paralegal experience with a strong litigation focus
- Experience supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process
- Knowledge of State and Federal court procedures and filing requirements
- Strong experience drafting and preparing litigation-related documents
- Experience with discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
- Associate's Degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies preferred
- First-party property insurance litigation experience is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document/case management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple cases, deadlines, and competing responsibilities
- Stable professional work history and verifiable references
