An established downtown law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy Civil Litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and emotionally mature professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and respond to discovery in pending civil litigation matters
• Manage, organize, analyze, and prepare documents for review and production
• Draft judicial council and court-related forms for hearings and filings
• Assist attorneys with deposition preparation, including:
  • Preparing and organizing exhibits
  • Handling exhibits during remote depositions
  • Summarizing deposition transcripts
• Support all aspects of trial preparation
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, firm personnel, clients, vendors, and third parties
• Utilize and maintain proficiency in legal technology, including:
  • Word processing and document management systems
  • Spreadsheets and database software
  • E-discovery platforms
  • Timekeeping and forms programs

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of solid civil litigation paralegal experience (required)
• Strong working knowledge of legal concepts, terminology, and litigation procedures
• Proven project management skills with excellent follow-through
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, sound judgment, and organizational ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism
• Experience working within law firm practice groups
• E-discovery experience required (preferably DISCO)
• Familiarity with document management systems (iManage preferred)
• Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certification (strongly preferred)

Position Details

• Practice Area: Civil Litigation
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
• Location: Downtown office (onsite)
• Pay Range (California): $35-$44 per hour
  • Final offer commensurate with skills and experience
