Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing Tampa law firm to identify an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys handling complex construction defect, insurance recovery, and commercial litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who enjoys being an integral part of a successful litigation team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.

  • Manage electronic filings in Florida state and federal courts while ensuring compliance with all court rules and deadlines.

  • Coordinate attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and other litigation-related events.

  • Track and maintain case deadlines, court dates, and critical litigation milestones.

  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring documents and records remain accurate and up to date.

  • Assist with discovery management, document production, and overall case administration.

  • Support trial preparation activities, including coordinating exhibits, witness files, and case materials.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors.

  • Provide administrative and litigation support through all phases of the legal process.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation legal assistant experience within a law firm environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Florida state and federal court procedures, including e-filing requirements.

  • Experience supporting litigation matters from inception through trial and resolution.

  • Prior experience with construction defect, insurance coverage, property damage, commercial litigation, or related practice areas is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while effectively supporting multiple attorneys and cases.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
