    TempExperts is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join a well-established insurance defense firm in Tampa, FL. This role requires strong organization, document management, and communication skills to ensure efficient operations.

    Position Summary:

    This role requires a highly organized, detail-focused legal assistant who can manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. You'll support attorneys through the entire litigation process, from case inception to trial.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Schedule depositions and coordinate related communications with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
    • Review, organize, and summarize deposition transcripts, records, and case documentation using litigation support software.
    • Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and motions for filing in state and federal courts.
    • Support trial preparation efforts including exhibit lists, demonstrative aids, and coordination of witness materials.
    • Verify legal citations through Westlaw and ensure all filings meet jurisdictional rules and standards.
    • Interface professionally with court personnel, agencies, and clients.
    • Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and assist with docketing.
    • Provide in-trial assistance with materials, logistics, and courtroom technology setup.
    • Accurately record billable hours and adhere to firm timekeeping policies.
    • Organize and maintain case files from inception to resolution.
    • Assist in factual investigations and discovery, including the handling of electronically stored information (ESI).
    • Perform additional legal administrative tasks as needed.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
    • At least 2 years of litigation support experience required; 3–5+ years preferred in insurance defense.
    • Demonstrated ability to support multiple attorneys and balance shifting priorities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and PDF document tools.
