Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation attorney to join a sophisticated litigation practice within a leading international law firm. The role is ideal for a candidate seeking high-level litigation work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment while working on a non-partnership track with meaningful client exposure and substantive responsibility.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of litigation experience handling matters in both state and federal courts. The practice includes complex commercial litigation with desired exposure to healthcare and/or ERISA-related matters. Candidates with strong case management skills, deposition experience, and motion practice expertise will be well-positioned for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related filings
- Take and defend depositions
- Handle discovery disputes and oversee day-to-day case management
- Participate in hearings, client meetings, settlement discussions, and litigation strategy development
- Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and clients on active matters
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to a collegial team environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience
- Strong experience with pleadings, motion practice, depositions, and discovery management
- Experience with healthcare litigation and/or ERISA matters preferred
- Prior judicial clerkship experience is a plus
- Excellent writing, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and client management abilities
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar required
