PURPOSE

The Library Specialist plays a vital role in fostering a dynamic learning environment for students by facilitating library classes, collaborating with teachers to support the curriculum, and conducting library-related presentations and events. Responsibilities also include managing library materials, inventory management, and maintaining the physical library space to ensure a welcoming and organized atmosphere. The Library Specialist also provides reference assistance to students and staff.

PURPOSE

To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Assigned educational programs may include both general and special education settings.

Hours per day: 6.25

Library Specialist: 188 days per school calendar year, Hourly Range: $22.88 - $29.20, Start Date: August 27, 2026

Hours per-shift: 4

SPIA: 188 days per school calendar year, Hourly Range: $24.03 - $30.65, Start Date: September 3, 2026

Hours per-shift: 2.25
