Legal Secretary (On-site)

Are you an organized legal support professional who excels at managing sensitive documents, deadlines, and public inquiries? We are seeking a Legal Secretary to assist with Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests and provide essential administrative support.

• Assist the Records Access Officer with FOIL responses.
• Collect and review documents that are responsive to public records requests.
• Assist with redacting confidential or exempt information.
• Answer the main FOIL telephone line.
• Monitor and maintain physical and electronic FOIL mailboxes.
• Respond to public inquiries regarding FOIL requests.
• Track response deadlines and maintain accurate databases and records.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of legal terminology.
• Strong written and verbal business communication skills.
• General clerical and administrative experience.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
• Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially.

Duration: Initial estimated service dates are for 9/21/26 - 3/20/27, however services may be extended for up to a total of two years.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
