    Position Summary:

    The Tampa office is looking for a bilingual, legal administrative assistant with at least 2 years of experience as a defense litigation secretary in a law firm or at least 2 years of experience as a scheduler/e-filing assistant for a defense law firm. This individual will be responsible for providing excellent client/customer service and will support multiple senior secretaries and their assigned attorneys.

    Responsibilities:

    • e-File pleadings
    • Heavy scheduling for depositions, hearings, CMEs, meetings, etc.
    • Update and maintain databases (i.e., e-mail lists, I-Create information, and client matter lists).
    • Process vendor invoices for payment.
    • Enter attorneys' expenses.
    • Maintain professional appearance and attitude; maintain good public relations and customer service with clients; maintain confidentiality of attorney-client relationship.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of litigation experience as a defense litigation secretary or 2 years of experience as a scheduler/e-filing assistant for a defense law firm.
    • Bi-lingual required (Spanish & English)
    • Working knowledge and experience in e-filing in both state and federal court systems.
    • Strong organizational skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, and ability to interact effectively and professionally with management, staff, and external entities, including clients of the firm.
    • Candidates must possess a minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute, be proficient in and have knowledge of relevant software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and consistently produce high-quality work product.
