Legal Administrative Assistant to support a litigation team in a busy law firm environment. This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to become permanent based on business needs and performance.
The ideal candidate will have prior
legal administrative or litigation support experience and understand the general progression of litigation matter. This position will be heavily focused on
scheduling hearings, depositions, medical examinations, and other litigation-related events, along with general administrative and document support.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate and maintain schedules for hearings, depositions, medical examinations, and other litigation-related events.
- Communicate with attorneys, courts, opposing counsel, clients, medical providers, and other parties to coordinate scheduling.
- Assist with basic electronic filing, including simple motions and other court documents.
- Submit invoices for payment and assist with related administrative follow-up.
- Save and organize documents within the firm's electronic document management system.
- Prepare correspondence, form letters, and other routine documents.
- Create, maintain, and update team forms using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Provide general administrative and litigation support to the assigned legal team.
Requirements:- Previous legal administrative, legal secretary, litigation support, or related experience required.
- Familiarity with the basic stages and participants in litigation matters.
- Experience scheduling litigation-related activities such as hearings, depositions, or medical examinations strongly preferred.
- Basic e-filing experience preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Excellent organization and follow-through, particularly when managing multiple deadlines and schedules.
- Professional communication skills and ability to interact with attorneys, clients, courts, and outside parties.
- Spanish/English bilingual skills preferred.
Important: Because this is initially a
23 month temporary assignment, the client is seeking someone who is genuinely available for a temporary opportunity and is
not currently leaving a permanent position solely for this assignment.
