We are looking for a self motivated legal administrative assistant to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal administrative services under the supervision of an attorney.ScheduleThis is a part-time position with a regular schedule of 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional adjustments to the schedule may be required based on business needs; advance notice will be provided whenever possible.ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to lawyer's and enhance office effectiveness.Update database for all assigned cases.Create complete files for attorney review.Assist with incorporating all documents received from clients into file and database.Complete file copy, scanning, uploading, and mailing of application to proper location.Prepare complete and accurate petitions and/or applications with all required documents.Maintain contact lists.Other duties as assigned, including outside of department.Experience & EducationSatisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal officeComputer literacyProficiency in EnglishWorking knowledge of case management softwareExcellent secretarial and organizational skillsAbility to juggle multiple activities and work under pressureHigh School DiplomaKey Result Areas1. Coordinate with local and foreign teams to support the proper filing of legal documentsPerformance StandardsShare the vision of Reddy & Neumann, P.C. by providing prompt, professional, and practical assistance to all members of the teamUpdate database for all assigned casesAssist with submission of error-free LCACreate complete file for attorney reviewAssist with incorporating all documents received from client into file and databasePrepare complete and accurate petition with all required documentsComplete any changes recommended by attorneyComplete file copy, scanning, uploading, and mailing of petition to proper locationVerify invoicing and receipt of paymentsCreate public access file and mail approvals to client – target to mail within 2 business days of receiptAssist attorney with additional correspondence, including withdrawal requests, contacting USCIS customer service, updating client information, etc.Assist all members of the team when needed.Other duties as assigned, including outside of departmentWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
