Law Clerk II - Washington, DC
Duration: 12+ months (Onsite)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Perform complex legal research and prepare draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
Review documents for relevance and privilege.
Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.
Act independently or as a team leader on larger projects.
Serve as the primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff.
Required Skills:
Minimum two years of progressively responsible experience in litigation support or related projects.
Proven capabilities and excellent communication skills for successful client and attorney interaction.
Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
