    Description

    Law Clerk I - Remote, Washington, DC

    Duration: 12+ months

    Seeking for a Law Clerk to support attorneys with legal research, document preparation, case management, and litigation support. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on legal experience by working on a variety of legal matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong research and analytical skills, and is able to manage multiple assignments while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct legal research using applicable statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal resources.
    • Assist in drafting legal documents, including memoranda, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal materials.
    • Review legal documents for relevance, confidentiality, and privilege as part of litigation or investigative matters.
    • Support attorneys throughout various phases of litigation, including discovery, case preparation, and trial support.
    • Organize, maintain, and manage legal files, case documents, and supporting records.
    • Assist with document review, document production, and eDiscovery-related activities.
    • Summarize legal findings and prepare reports for attorneys and legal staff.
    • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals to meet project deadlines.
    • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive legal information.
    • Perform additional legal research and administrative support duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of completed coursework.
    • Knowledge of legal research methods, court procedures, and litigation processes.
    • Experience using legal research platforms such as Westlaw, Lexis, or LexisNexis.
    • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous internship, clerkship, or professional legal experience.
    • Familiarity with document management systems and eDiscovery tools.
    • Experience supporting litigation, investigations, or regulatory matters.
    • Knowledge of federal and/or state court procedures.
    • Experience reviewing legal documents for responsiveness, relevance, or privilege.
