    Law Clerk I - Washington, DC

    Duration: 12 months (Onsite)

    Day-to-day Responsibilities:

    • Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, case law, and legal authorities
    • Perform statutory analysis and support appellate attorneys and litigation teams
    • Assist with preparation, organization, and review of appellate briefs
    • Perform citation checking and ensure Bluebook compliance
    • Review briefs for formatting, accuracy, and quality control
    • Use LexisNexis and internal resources for research and citation review
    • Support attorneys with legal analysis and authority validation

    Required Skills:

    • Knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research procedures
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Proficiency with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
    • Strong legal research skills and ability to validate legal authorities
    • Proficiency with citation review and Bluebook formatting
    • Academic legal training and familiarity with appellate practice
    • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience supporting brief preparation and appellate litigation work

    Education:

    • Requires Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study completed
