• Pay Rate: $40.00 $47.00 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary

This role provides general laboratory support to the DSTS chemistry laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs periodic cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Performs general laboratory support functions, such as cleaning glassware, autoclaving laboratory supplies, and laboratory housekeeping.
• Prepares various chemical solutions and media.
• Maintains stocks of laboratory reagents and supplies.
• Coordinates disposal of glass, biohazard, chemical, and radiochemical laboratory waste.
• Records data and performs basic mathematical computations.
• Reviews temperature monitoring charts.
• May assist with special projects as assigned.
• Follows all applicable SOPs and procedures.
• Ensures lab equipment is operational and supplies are ordered and stocked.
• Addresses requests from the team in a prompt manner, including work orders.
• Facilitates lab clean-ups.

Education Requirements

• Doctorate degree OR Master's degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 8 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
