Job Details:
- Provides general laboratory support to the DSTS chemistry laboratories.
Responsibilities include:
- Performs periodic cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Performs general laboratory support functions, such as cleaning glassware, autoclaving laboratory supplies, and laboratory housekeeping.
- Prepares various chemical solutions and media.
- Maintains stocks of laboratory reagents and supplies.
- Coordinates disposal of glass, biohazard, chemical, and radiochemical laboratory waste.
- Records data and performs basic mathematical computations.
- Reviews temperature monitoring charts.
- May assist with special projects as assigned.
- Follows all applicable SOPs and procedures.
Skills:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree OR Masters degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience OR Associates degree and 8 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
