    POSITION SUMMARY

At Marin, we believe every plate is a chance to create a ridiculously personal experience for our guests — and it takes a sharp, steady hand in the kitchen to make that happen, shift after shift, whether it's a busy dinner service or a full banquet floor. As Kitchen Supervisor, you'll be the one keeping the line humming, the standards high, and the team motivated, all while championing consistent, high-quality food for both à la carte service and larger banquet and catered events. You'll partner closely with F&B Management on everything from menu pricing to cost controls, acting as an advocate for both the kitchen team and the guest experience.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Banquet & Event Support

    • Plan and execute food production for banquets, private events, and large group functions, keeping quality and presentation consistent even at volume.
    • Coordinate timing between banquet events and regular restaurant service so both run smoothly side by side.
    • Partner with the F&B Management on banquet menus, portioning, and plating standards for group functions.
    • Lead and direct kitchen staff during banquet events, keeping the team organized and on schedule for multi-course or large-scale service.

    Culinary Leadership & Food Quality

    • Manage food preparation and cooking to make sure every dish leaves the kitchen consistent, well-plated, and at the right temperature.
    • Establish and uphold standard portion sizes across the menu.
    • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques, helping the team grow their skills along the way.
    • Bring your expertise in food product, presentation, and menu concept to help keep Marin's offerings fresh and on-brand.

    Kitchen Operations & Safety

    • Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders to keep service running smoothly.
    • Provide input on kitchen staff scheduling as needed to make sure the team is set up for success.
    • Store food products in compliance with food safety practices.
    • Maintain sanitation and safety standards throughout the kitchen area.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • Expertise in food product, presentation, quality, and preparation, along with menu concept and design.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills to keep food production running at a high level.
    • Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision to complete assigned tasks.
    • A highly motivated, flexible mindset with the initiative to jump in where needed.
    • Solid knowledge of kitchen health and safety rules.
    • A flexible schedule — you're available to work mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
    • Food Handler Certification, if applicable in your jurisdiction.

OUR CULTURE - What It’s Like to Work Here

    Refreshingly Human.

That’s how we describe the Kimpton culture. Not a tagline — a way of being. It’s what you’ll feel the moment you walk through our doors, and it’s what keeps our teams coming back.

Kimpton founder Bill Kimpton believed one thing above all else: hire the right people and get out of the way. From day one, this brand was built on empowerment — giving people the freedom to be creative, take chances, learn from mistakes, and do what’s right. That vision sparked something special in 1981, and it still runs through everything we do across 80+ hotels worldwide.

If that sounds like the kind of place you’ve been looking for — read on.

    Be 100% You

If you join us, you won’t be asked to leave yourself at the door. Your quirks, your tattoos, your accent, your personal style — all of it is not just welcome here, it’s celebrated. Being professional at Kimpton doesn’t mean being a clone. It means showing up as your full, authentic self and doing the work with your own flair.

    Be the Ultimate Host

At Kimpton, you’ll be empowered to act. To be creative. To read the room, anticipate what a guest needs before they ask, and do what you truly believe is right — without waiting for permission. We hire people we trust, and then we trust the people we hire.

    Spark Joy

Beyond great service lives something more lasting: emotional impact. Spark Joy is about the moments guests carry with them long after checkout — the ones that make Kimpton feel different from anywhere else. You’ll have the power to create those moments every single day.

    INCLUSION & BELONGING

A culture this special only works when everyone feels they belong in it. We’re committed to building a workplace where every person feels seen, heard, and valued — and where differences aren’t just accepted, they’re what make us better. We proudly welcome candidates of all races, ethnicities, ages, religions, abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and backgrounds.
