A local craft confectionery company that makes artisanal, infused candies is hiring a Full-Time Kitchen Assistant for their production facility ahead of their busy season. You are a good fit for this role if you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has previous experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting.
Full-Time Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all food prep areas and equipment.
- Assist in preparation of food products.
- Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Measuring and scaling candy ingredients
- Cutting up candied fruit to place in molds
- Pouring and scraping hot candy mixture into molds
- Work with kitchen team to meet company standards, food safety and Liquor & Cannabis Board compliance.
Full-Time Kitchen Assistant Requirements:
- Prior experience in food production or commercial kitchen setting (Confectionery production or baking experience in a busy kitchen is a huge plus)
- Able to keep up with fast & repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable lifting 50lbs regularly.
- Must have a current valid WA Food Worker Card.
Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 8a-6pm
Pay: $21.30-$24.00/hour
