Client Overview: Our client is a mission-driven, nonprofit organization serving the Princeton community and is seeking a
Junior Accountant to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $22/hr - $25/hr
Position Overview: The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist the Controller with core accounting functions. This role is open due to a resignation, and the team is looking to move quickly.
Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant:- Support general accounting processes and day-to-day transactions.
- Assist with Accounts Payable activities.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Work within Blackbaud.
- Partner with the Controller and finance leadership as assigned.
Required Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant:- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Accounts Payable experience.
- Comfortable working in a flexible, fast-moving environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant:- Nonprofit accounting experience.
- Prior experience using Blackbaud.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- Associate's degree or Business degree will be considered.
