IT Financial Operations Intern

Interns will support the IT organization in managing and optimizing financial operations, including developing and maintaining technology budgets, enhancing financial governance processes, and helping establish an agile financial operating model that enables strategic decision-making across the IT function. Interns will also contribute to key initiatives focused on IT Strategic Relationship Management, helping define and implement best-in-class supplier and partner management protocols, while supporting the adoption of AI and automation capabilities designed to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

The IT Financial Operations Internship offers an in-depth, hands-on, full-time opportunity for current students pursuing degrees in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Economics, or related fields. This 12-week paid internship will be based at the Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling (RCCB) Headquarters in Niles, IL during Summer 2027. Interns will support the IT organization in managing and optimizing financial operations, including developing and maintaining technology budgets, enhancing financial governance processes, and helping establish an agile financial operating model that enables strategic decision-making across the IT function. Interns will also contribute to key initiatives focused on IT Strategic Relationship Management, helping define and implement best-in-class supplier and partner management protocols, while supporting the adoption of AI and automation capabilities designed to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes. Throughout the internship, participants will gain exposure to a wide range of technology and business initiatives, collaborate with leaders across multiple functions, and develop a deep understanding of how IT partners with the business to enable growth, innovation, and operational excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships across RCCB while gaining valuable experience at the intersection of technology, finance, strategy, and business operations. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical and financial acumen, a passion for technology-enabled business transformation, and an interest in pursuing a career in IT, finance, consulting, or business operations following graduation. Candidates must have reliable automobile transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law.

 

Position Responsibilities:  

• Perform and accomplish tasks, activities, and projects with guidance from Intern Manager 
• Meet and/or exceed project deliverables and deadlines 
• Develop technical expertise as needed for functional area 
• Develop business acumen by seizing opportunities to learn 
• Apply functional academic knowledge and skills to the specific internship position with a professional approach 
• Collaborates with members of their designated team and builds relationships with customers, leaders, and peers within the company 
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:  

• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree with 0 to 2 years of related work experience 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The Company will not sponsor applicants for work visas
