Scion Legal Staffing has been engaged to conduct the search for an Insurance Defense Attorney on behalf of our client, a respected law firm in Dallas, Texas. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent insurance companies, policyholders, and businesses in lawsuits involving various types of claims, including bodily injury, property damage, and other liability issues.
  • Handle all phases of litigation, from pre-suit negotiations and discovery to trial and post-trial motions. Manage case strategy, conduct depositions, and draft motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case arguments, review policy language, and interpret relevant statutes and case law.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on case status, strategy, and outcomes. Offer sound legal advice tailored to each case.
  • Evaluate cases for potential settlement opportunities and negotiate settlements when appropriate, ensuring that the client's best interests are prioritized.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials. Provide expert advocacy in both written and oral form.
  • Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to ensure the efficient management of cases and timely completion of tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctor and Texas Bar License required.
  • 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Clio.

COMPENSATION:

This opportunity offers a salary of $130,000-$155,000 annually as well as comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, and paid holidays) and bonuses.
