    Department of Human Resources Job Title: Behavior Aide Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Principal and Teacher(s) Assigned Pay Grade: PP05, 8h, 187 days Dept./School: Elementary Campus Assigned Date Revised: October 2021 Primary Purpose: Help meet physical and instructional needs of students in a general education classroom. Assist in implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of certified teacher.     1. Provide support to instructional staff in implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and classroom management strategies. Student Management
    2. Keep teacher informed of behavior challenges of individual students.
    3. Help manage behavior of students. This includes intervening in crisis situations and restraining disruptive or dangerous students as needed.
    4. Recognize differences in each student's special physical, communicative, and emotional needs and adapt methods and interaction accordingly.
    5. Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty. Other
