Special Ed. Teacher *Up to $53/hr

Special Ed. Teacher for a 36-week contract in or near Austin, Texas, with competitive pay up to $53 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in the resource classroom

• Incorporate Reading by Design strategies to teach dyslexia

• Collaborate with staff to develop individualized education plans

• Manage classroom activities and behavior

• Assess student progress and adjust instruction

Qualifications:

• Standard educational degree or equivalent

• Certification in Special Education; Reading by Design certification is a plus

• Minimum 1 year experience in a school setting

• Familiarity with resource classroom instruction and special education strategies

• Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills

• Ability to work effectively with diverse student needs

• Background check and compliance with facility standards

• Must be able to work days, 40 hours per week
