Role Summary
We are seeking a Manager, Information Security to lead and build an enterprise-wide security program for a growing healthcare organization. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a security professional who wants to shape strategy, establish governance, and create a scalable security function from the ground up.

Reporting directly to senior technology leadership, this individual will own information security strategy, compliance initiatives, risk management, and incident response while partnering closely with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders. The role offers significant influence, executive visibility, and a clear path for growth as the security team expands.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's information security strategy, policies, standards, and multi-year roadmap.
• Lead security governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, including HIPAA and HITRUST readiness efforts.
• Establish and manage identity and access governance programs, including privileged access management and periodic access reviews.
• Oversee third-party and vendor security risk assessments and define security requirements for partners and service providers.
• Own the incident response program, including response procedures, escalation processes, investigations, and post-incident reviews.
• Deliver security awareness and training programs that promote a culture of security across a distributed workforce.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to address security risks, regulatory requirements, and data protection obligations.
• Build and lead the future information security team, including defining organizational structure, hiring talent, and developing capabilities.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of information security experience, including at least 2 years leading a security program, function, or team.
• Experience working in healthcare, pharmacy, or other highly regulated environments governed by HIPAA or comparable regulatory frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with HITRUST, HIPAA Security Rule, SOC 2, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF), or similar compliance and control frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Azure security technologies, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview.
• Proven ability to develop security policies, standards, assessments, executive reporting, and governance documentation.
• Experience managing security risk, incident response, third-party risk management, and access governance programs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to balance business objectives with effective risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP, CISM, CCSP, HITRUST CCSFP, or similar industry certifications.
• Experience supporting organizations undergoing rapid growth, transformation, or private equity ownership.
• Experience working with global, offshore, or nearshore teams.
• Prior background in security engineering, infrastructure, or cloud security before moving into leadership roles.
