The Human Resources Manager plays a key role in supporting the overall employee experience while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for a broad range of human resources functions including recruitment and hiring, employee relations, performance management, leave administration, workers' compensation, safety, training and development, HR compliance, and HRIS administration. The Human Resources Manager will partner closely with department leaders to foster a positive work environment, support team member engagement, and ensure operational excellence throughout the hotel.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing full-cycle recruitment and hiring efforts for Management positions, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
Administering employee relations matters, conducting investigations, and providing coaching and guidance regarding performance management and corrective action processes for non-management associates.
Administering Payroll processes including weekly payroll balancing, processing of earnings and deductions, and bi-weekly payroll submission.
Administering leaves of absence, accommodations, workers' compensation cases, and return-to-work programs.
Maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company recordkeeping requirements.
Supporting OSHA readiness initiatives and ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and company standards.
Managing HRIS administration, data integrity, reporting, and employee lifecycle transactions.
Assisting with departmental safety initiatives and promoting a culture of workplace wellness and risk prevention.
This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and must possess the ability to effectively manage the Human Resources office in the Director's absence.

Annual performance-based increases
The pay range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency Minneapolis reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

Refined verbal and written communication skills
Minimum 1 year experience in Human Resources or People Management in a full-service Hotel Environment is required.
Previous Hyatt experience preferred.
Experience with coaching colleagues and correcting behavior preferred.
