PURPOSE: Support Human Resources operations by assisting with talent acquisition, benefits administration, and payroll processes to shepherd the employee life cycle in alignment with Denton Bible Church’s equipping the saints for the work of ministry. 

DUTIES:
  1. Streamline talent acquisition by recruiting and onboarding new employees, ensuring that the staff has access to skilled labor resources.
    • Coordinate requests to hire for new positions by preparing and posting open positions, communicating with applicants, and supporting the hiring process to help ensure timely and effective staffing.
    • Assist with new-hire onboarding by processing paperwork and facilitating benefits enrollment to ensure compliance, engagement, and a positive employee experience.
    • Maintain compliant documentation filing by organizing, updating, and securely retaining employee records in accordance with company policies and applicable employment regulations to protect both DBC and employees. 
    • Distribute personnel change information by tracking staffing changes to ensure employee data is accurately updated and communicated efficiently.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely administration of employee benefits by facilitating employee access to available health, retirement, and wellness programs.
    • Process benefits enrollment for new employees by facilitating plan selection, entering enrollment data, and ensuring the timely completion of required benefits documentation to secure employee access to benefits.
    • Maintain compliant employee benefits files by organizing, updating, and securely retaining benefits records in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and confidentiality standards to protect both DBC and employees.
    • Steward timely payment of benefit premiums by communicating monthly invoices, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating with benefit providers and Accounts Payable to safeguard employee benefits. 
    • Support the distribution of health stipends and reimbursements to employees by processing requests, verifying eligibility and supporting documentation, and coordinating timely payments in accordance with company policies to advocate for employee benefits.
    • Notify employees of updates to benefits by preparing and distributing timely communications regarding plan changes, enrollment opportunities, policy updates, and benefits-related deadlines to promote employee engagement.
  3. Assist in payroll administration by processing employee status changes, monitoring payroll deadlines, and collaborating with Payroll and Accounting teams to ensure timely payroll execution.
    • Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll, including reimbursements, retirement contributions, and taxes for timeliness, accuracy, and compliance.
    • Prepare payroll reports for the Finance Department by compiling, reviewing, and reconciling payroll data to support accurate accounting, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  4. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Education, Training, Knowledge, Experience:
    • Minimum Required
      • Bachelor’s degree
      • Experience with MS Office Suite
      • Proficient in navigating MS Excel
      • 1 - 3 years’ experience working in an office environment
      • Member of Denton Bible Church
    • Preferred
      • 3-5 years Human Resources experience in a non-profit or ministry context

    • Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and manage many projects simultaneously
    • Ability to uphold confidentiality
