Description

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing organization based in the Boston area, for an entry-level Human Resources Generalist to join their people team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career HR professional to gain broad, hands-on exposure across the full employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding to benefits administration and employee relations, while working remotely with a supportive and collaborative team.

Day to day, you will juggle a mix of administrative tasks and people-facing conversations, keeping HR systems accurate while helping employees feel supported and informed. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet with sensitive information, and eager to learn the fundamentals of HR in a fast-paced, remote-first environment where no two days look exactly the same.

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruiting including posting jobs, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth first-day experience
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and other personnel files
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment questions and open enrollment processes
  • Respond to routine employee relations questions and escalate complex issues appropriately
  • Help administer company policies and ensure compliance with federal and state employment law
  • Process employment verifications, status changes, and other HR paperwork
  • Support performance review cycles by tracking deadlines and compiling documentation
  • Assist with planning employee engagement activities and internal communications
  • Generate basic HR reports and metrics for leadership review

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Up to one year of HR, administrative, or customer service experience
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms or willingness to learn new systems quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment
  • Basic understanding of employment law and HR best practices a plus
