Summary

As a leading national provider of optometric services, we deliver high-quality vision care and accessible eye health solutions across a network of clinical practices and retail partnerships. The Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring skilledtalent to support our clinical, program, and corporate functions. This role partners closely with regional Program Managers and Directors of Operations, managing the full recruitment lifecycle from intake and job posting through offer negotiation and onboarding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies for Optometrists (ODs), Licensed Opticians, Ophthalmic Technicians, and program and corporate staff.
  • Build strong candidate pipelines through specialized optometry job boards, networking, residency programs, optometry school career days, and professional conferences.
  • Confer with regional Program Managers to identify personnel needs, clinical qualifications, and job specifications for open positions.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: intake, job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Support employer branding initiatives to position the company as the employer of choice for eye care professionals.
  • Assist with initial verification of clinical licenses and certifications during the screening process.
  • Ensure hiring practices comply with healthcare labor laws, HIPAA considerations, and company policies.
  • Maintain the ATS, manage interview scheduling, write and place job postings, and facilitate new hire onboarding.
  • Plan and coordinate participation in industry job fairs, optometry school career days, and professional conferences.
  • Process pre-employment background checks and assist with HR Generalist tasks as needed.

Education, Experience, and Technical Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; or 2-5 years of equivalent experience.
  • Healthcare or optometry recruitment experience highly preferred; experience with licensed professionals (ODs, Opticians, RNs) a plus.
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms (ADP TotalSource a plus), LinkedIn Recruiter, and specialized medical job boards.
  • Strong computer skills including HR systems, spreadsheet, and word processing software.


Mathematical and Reasoning Ability

Ability to calculate offer packages including base salary, production bonuses, and sign-on incentives. Ability to solve practical problems in a fast-paced environment with limited standardization.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Primarily office-based with frequent sitting, computer use, and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds. Occasional travel (up to 15%) for university recruitment or regional meetings. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
