Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an HR Director for a growing healthcare services organization supporting clinical operations across a major Texas metropolitan market. This is a direct-hire, hybrid opportunity requiring a minimum of three days onsite per week in the Dallas area.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The HR Director will serve as the hands-on HR leader for an approximately 200-employee healthcare organization, taking ownership of day-to-day HR operations while supporting both clinical and corporate employees. This individual will oversee benefits, retirement administration, payroll accuracy, employee administration, and other core HR functions while providing leadership and mentorship to an existing HR team member. The ideal candidate is an operational HR leader who enjoys being close to the business, can independently manage competing priorities, and is comfortable strengthening structure and processes within a growing organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead day-to-day HR operations across the organization, providing practical and responsive support to employees and leadership.

  • Own benefits and retirement plan administration, including vendor coordination, employee support, and open enrollment activities.

  • Oversee payroll accuracy in partnership with Finance and support HR administration within the organization's HRIS and payroll systems.

  • Manage employee administration, including PTO processes and ongoing HR support for corporate and business-office employees.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day guidance to an existing HR team member.

  • Evaluate current HR practices, strengthen processes, and independently address operational HR needs as the organization continues to evolve.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong background managing broad, hands-on HR operations with the ability to independently oversee multiple HR functions.

  • Demonstrated experience with benefits, retirement plan administration, payroll oversight, and employee administration.

  • Experience leading, mentoring, or developing HR team members and partnering effectively with organizational leadership.

  • Experience with Paylocity or a comparable HRIS/payroll platform is preferred.

  • Healthcare industry experience is helpful but not required; demonstrated operational HR capability and sound judgment are most important.

This position offers a competitive base salary of $130,000-$150,000 annually for Director-level candidates, with flexibility for a strong HR Manager ready to step into greater leadership responsibility.
