Pflugerville Independent School District - Job Description Job Title/Position: Teacher, Elementary (ACE Campus) Department/School: Assigned Campus Pay Information: Teacher Compensation Plan, with incentive of $5000, contingent on grant award Days: 187 Supervised By: Campus Principal FLSA: Exempt Date Revised: December 2025 Primary Purpose: Teachers on an ACE campus will provide extra structure for the students and the staff at the campus, along with additional support for our students' families. Demonstrated record of accomplishment of achieving significant student growth. Qualifications (Experience/Education/Certification): Bachelor's degree, valid Texas teaching certificate, and ESL certification (ESL can be obtained after hire). Applicants selected for a position will be required to sign an annual stipend agreement and are ineligible for intra-district transfers for 3 years after signing the initial stipend agreement Major Responsibilities: Plan, develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the district's instructional program and show written evidence of preparations as required; prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student abilities and learning styles; linguistically accommodate instruction as appropriate for English language learners; coordinate with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans (IEP). Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits; help improve the achievement of all students; conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing and provide remediation as appropriate to ensure student mastery; assume responsibility and sponsor extracurricular activities as appropriate. Create a classroom environment conducive to active and successful student learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students; manage student behavior. Establish and maintain effective open communication with students, parents, teachers, and administrators; participate in staff professional development activities. Complete appropriate documentation for students participating in special programs as required by district, state and federal guidelines. Financial incentive, or stipend, is paid for the time-intensive work included in this model such as:
