Organizational Summary:
The Girls on the Run® South Louisiana Program Coordinator must possess a passion for and commitment to improving the lives and opportunities of girls in third through eighth grades. Girls on the Run provides a safe and interactive way to learn about healthy living including introductions and education onimportant topics like goal-setting, cooperation, healthy decision-making, and self-respect. The innovative curriculum gives girls an opportunity to listen and open up while encouraging them to commit to a healthy lifestyle and harness their inner strengths. Girls on the Run South Louisiana is a 501(c)(3) organization and currently serves East Baton Rouge, Ascension, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, West Baton Rouge, West Feliciana, Acadia, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, Vermilion Parish, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa & Washington parishes.

Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator in Greater Baton Rouge is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Program Director. The Program Coordinator is responsible for recruiting Girls on the Run program sites and coach volunteers in the Greater Baton Rouge region while supporting the council-at-large.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management
- Collaborate with the team to implement the Girls on the Run strategic program plan and achieve program goals
- Expand the Girls on the Run program to new sites in the Greater Baton Rouge region
- Support the needs of both new and existing sites by maintaining effective communication with site personnel and volunteers, and by conducting regular site visits.
- Enforce all current site policies and procedures and generate innovation and improvement as needed
- Support Program Director in the inventory and packaging of curriculum materials each season
Coach Management and Training
- Support the recruitment, matching, and training of qualified volunteer coaches to program sites
- Support the coordination of National Coach Training, including CPR/First Aid certifications and background checks, each season
- Provide direct support to address any concerns or issues during the season including behavioral issues, facility use, coach availability/substitute needs, and other challenges as they arise
Organizational Support
- Play a support role in planning and hosting the fall and spring end-of-season 5K events in Baton Rouge and Lafayette (4 events total)
- Represent the organization at Greater Baton Rouge community events to raise awareness of the GOTR program and mission and to build partnerships within the community.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
Preferred qualifications include:
- Two or more years experience in sales, youth development, communications/marketing, education, or administrative work
- Passion for Girls on the Run mission and the ability to comprehend and effectively communicate issues surrounding empowerment, self-esteem, body image and whole-person health
- Outstanding communication skills in multiple environments and with a range of audiences (internal and external)
- Ability to work well in a small office setting, function as a team player on a range of projects, and also work independently to meet deadlines on assigned duties
- Experience managing volunteers or employees is a plus
- Comfortable in a hybrid work environment with a balance between remote and in-person work

The salary range for this position is $36,000-$39,000 annually, with overtime eligibility as a non-exempt position. Evening and weekend availability is needed seasonally to support coach, community, and 5K events. Girls on the Run offers a flexible work environment for remote and in-person work, however, candidates must reside in the Greater Baton Rouge region. Girls on the Run offers 20 PTO days and paid holidays, professional development opportunities, a $3,000 healthcare stipend, and work laptop. Ideal position start date is by July 1.
