About the RoleÂ
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, driving financial performance, and cultivating a high-performing team.Â
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of hospitality, a passion for service, and a sharp eye for detail. This role requires someone who can balance operational discipline with an intuitive sense of guest experience—creating an environment that is both highly functional and deeply engaging.Â

Core ResponsibilitiesÂ
Leadership & CultureÂ
- Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse front- and back-of-house teamÂ
- Foster a culture rooted in hospitality, accountability, and continuous improvementÂ
- Act as a visible and engaged presence on the floor, setting the tone for serviceÂ

OperationsÂ
- Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring consistency and excellence across service, food, and beverageÂ
- Maintain and elevate service standards in alignment with the MethodCo brandÂ
- Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless FOH/BOH collaborationÂ
Â
Financial PerformanceÂ
- Own and manage P&L, budgeting, and forecastingÂ
- Drive revenue through thoughtful programming, guest experience, and operational efficiencyÂ
- Monitor labor, cost of goods, and other key metrics to ensure profitabilityÂ
Â
Guest ExperienceÂ
- Champion an exceptional and personalized guest experienceÂ
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism and urgencyÂ
- Build relationships with regulars, VIPs, and the broader Detroit communityÂ
Â
People & DevelopmentÂ
- Recruit, train, and retain top talentÂ
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance managementÂ
- Create clear growth paths and development opportunities for team membersÂ
Â
Brand & CollaborationÂ
- Partner with marketing and events teams to support programming and activationsÂ
- Uphold the design and experiential integrity of the spaceÂ
- Collaborate with hotel leadership at Book Tower to ensure alignment across the propertyÂ
QualificationsÂ
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume, upscale or fine dining restaurantsÂ
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive strong financial performanceÂ
- Deep understanding of food, beverage, and service standardsÂ
- Strong operational acumen with experience managing P&LsÂ
- Excellent communication and leadership skillsÂ
- Passion for hospitality, design, and creating memorable guest experiencesÂ
- Experience in a hotel or mixed-use environment is a plusÂ
