Front Desk Attendants ensure a safe and friendly environment while monitoring check-in and facility operations, and enforcing policies in the Beauchamp Recreation & Wellness Center. Front Desk attendants report to Front Desk Student Coordinators and the Fitness & Operations Program Manager, within Recreational Services. Availability of applicants during operational hours is a hiring consideration.

Core Duties
- Create a welcoming and friendly environment for patrons and co-workers.
- Oversee patron check-in, equipment inventory, class registration, membership and locker sales
- Provide information and excellent customer service to patrons, enforce policies and procedures, address issues with facility users
- Respond to injuries and emergencies within facility and provide guidance to others as needed
- Clean and sanitize equipment and touch points within the facility
- Communicate with supervisors and co-workers in a prompt and professional manner
- Attend mandatory trainings and staff meetings
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Availability during academic year during hours facility is open.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence to speak with patrons regarding policy and behavior
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and other programs
- Ability to work well in and contribute to a team environment
- Current CPR & AED Certification. This may be obtained within a short time after starting.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and give priority to most important/time-sensitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- First-year students with excellent character and experience are encouraged to apply
- Experience working in active, customer oriented environment, or experience in public service/volunteer positions with successful frequent interpersonal interaction
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and school breaks.
- Federal Work-Study in Financial Aid package
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move weights at least 50 lbs.
