    Franchise Attorney
    Location: Dallas, TX
    Job Type: Full-Time
    Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (Monday-Friday)
    Up to $130,000 Straight Salary

    A leading multi-unit franchise organization is seeking an experienced Franchise Attorney to join its corporate legal team in Dallas. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside executive leadership while supporting franchise development, compliance, acquisitions, operations, and strategic growth initiatives across a diverse portfolio of nationally recognized consumer brands.

    What You'll Do
    • Draft, review, and negotiate franchise agreements, development agreements, transfers, renewals, and related contracts.
    • Provide guidance regarding franchise compliance, franchise relationships, disclosure requirements, and regulatory matters.
    • Support franchise development and expansion initiatives.
    • Assist with legal due diligence and transaction support for acquisitions and growth opportunities.
    • Advise internal stakeholders on contract interpretation, risk management, and business operations.
    • Partner with executive leadership on strategic legal matters impacting the organization.
    • Manage outside counsel and support dispute resolution activities when necessary.
    • Monitor changes in franchise and business regulations and recommend appropriate actions.
    What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
    • Active Texas Bar membership or ability to obtain licensure in Texas.
    • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience.
    • Direct franchise law experience is required.
    • Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.
    • Experience supporting franchise agreements, compliance, franchise development, and related legal matters.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience representing franchisors and/or franchisees.
    • Multi-unit restaurant, retail, or consumer franchise experience.
    • Mergers & acquisitions experience.
    • Prior in-house legal experience.
