Sterling Medical is currently recruiting six (6) Food Service Workers to support the Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare system in Portland, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity for dependable, hardworking individuals who are passionate about providing quality service in a healthcare environment.
Position Overview
Food Service Workers will support Nutrition & Food Services operations at VA medical facilities and perform a variety of food service, sanitation, dishwashing, and kitchen support duties.

Key Responsibilities
Dishwashing and heavy-duty kitchen cleaning
Scraping, soaking, scouring, and cleaning cookware and utensils
Loading and operating dishwashing equipment
Cleaning and sanitizing food service areas and equipment
Sweeping and mopping designated areas
Emptying trash, recycling, and compost containers
Transporting clean and soiled food service carts
Maintaining sanitary food service operations
Providing courteous and professional customer service to Veterans, visitors, and staff
Minimum Qualifications
Current Food Handler Certificate from:
ServSafe, OR
An ANAB-accredited program, OR
An ANSI-approved program
Ability to work in a healthcare food service environment
Ability to pass required background screening and credentialing requirements
Strong reliability and professionalism
Contract Details
Full-Time positions
One-year contract assignment
