Job Summary
Ready Kitchen Warranty is seeking an experienced Food Service Equipment Technical Support Specialist (Remote Technical Support) with a strong background in commercial kitchen equipment, including both hot-side and refrigeration food service equipment.
In this role, you will provide technical support to service agents and customers by diagnosing and troubleshooting a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, griddles, charbroilers, ranges, refrigeration units, and more. You will play a key role in helping resolve equipment issues efficiently, minimizing downtime for customers.
This position is ideal for experienced commercial kitchen equipment technicians looking to transition into a remote, support-focused role while leveraging their hands-on expertise.
Shift: 9:30 AM - 6 PM ET or local time zone equivalent, Monday through Friday
60-Day Training Period: 7:30 AM - 4 PM ET or local time zone equivalent, Monday through Friday

Remote Work Qualifications
Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
Access to a home router and modem.
A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with commercial kitchen equipment, including both hot-side and cold-side units
Provide real-time technical support to in-field service technicians and customers
Guide technicians through step-by-step troubleshooting and repair processes
Interpret and utilize service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Identify parts needed for repair and assist with parts identification support
Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions within internal systems
Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and customer experience
Physical Requirements
Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
Experience
5+ years of experience as a commercial kitchen equipment technician or similar role
Experience diagnosing and repairing refrigeration and cold-side equipment
Strong knowledge of gas and electric systems in food service equipment
Experience working in commercial kitchen environments (restaurants, food trucks, institutional kitchens, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams
EPA certification required
CFESA certification preferred
Education
Associate Degree or Diploma in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) from an accredited institution.
EPA Certification required
