Role Purpose

The Food & Beverage Manager is the strategic leader responsible for overseeing all dining, beverage, culinary, and in-room dining operations across the resort. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, financial performance, and the consistent delivery of Banyan Tree Veya's standards of luxury hospitality.

Guided by the philosophy "I am with you", the Food & Beverage Manager leads with passion, vision, and attention to detail, cultivating a culture of excellence while positioning the resort's culinary offerings among the most distinguished dining destinations in Valle de Guadalupe and beyond.

Position Objective

To lead and elevate all Food & Beverage operations, ensuring seamless delivery of exceptional guest experiences, sustainable financial results, talent development, and operational excellence while preserving the unique identity and luxury positioning of Banyan Tree Veya.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all Food & Beverage outlets, culinary operations, bars, lounges, and in-room dining services.
• Develop and execute annual business plans, budgets, and operational strategies aligned with resort objectives.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability while maintaining exceptional quality and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and control departmental expenses, labor costs, and inventory management to ensure strong financial performance.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and inspire managers, supervisors, and line employees, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Promote employee engagement, professional development, and continuous learning opportunities.
• Ensure the consistent execution of Banyan Tree service standards across all guest touchpoints.
• Collaborate closely with Culinary, Events, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Rooms Division teams to maximize resort performance.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement initiatives that enhance service quality and overall satisfaction.
• Drive innovation and continuously improve dining concepts, experiences, menus, and beverage offerings.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health, and regulatory standards.
• Establish measurable operational goals and monitor performance through key performance indicators.
• Support the development and execution of special events, wine experiences, gastronomic collaborations, and signature activations.
• Analyze market trends, guest preferences, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain effective communication processes and ensure alignment among all Food & Beverage teams.

Critical Skills & Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within luxury hotels, resorts, or fine dining environments.
• Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in driving revenue, profitability, and operational performance.
• Extensive knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, culinary concepts, wine culture, and luxury hospitality standards.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Passion for gastronomy, guest experience, and service excellence.
• Ability to lead multiple outlets and operational teams simultaneously.
• Results-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of the Valle de Guadalupe wine and culinary landscape is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• University degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Food Service Management, or a related field preferred.
