Description

Our client, a Financial technology company, is looking to hire a Financial  Analyst in  Mountain View CA

Pay Rate Range:  $80/hr -$85/hr

 Title: Financial  Analyst
Location:  Mountain View CA – Onsite
Duration:    8 Months  
 
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to ICS Customer Success Finance Managers, supporting 1-year and 3-year strategic planning.
  • Proactively identify budget and margin risks and opportunities and provide data-driven insights to support optimal investment decisions.
  • Lead quarterly forecasting and current estimate cycles, including driver-based assumptions, risk and opportunity management, and timely escalation.
  • Own monthly close, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting processes and prepare materials for business reviews.
  • Develop executive-ready variance commentary highlighting key business drivers, trends, risks, opportunities, and strategic insights.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial results, forecasts, and business priorities.
  • Analyze margin levers and unit economics by quantifying and tracking spread drivers and translating them into risks and opportunities for the Payments P&L.
  • Build and maintain unit economics and margin analysis to provide Senior Leadership Teams (SLT) with clear visibility into business performance and R&O.
  • Partner with the ICS Finance Team to maintain accurate P&L, risks and opportunities (R&O), and financial metrics.
  • Streamline, standardize, and automate forecasting and reporting processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Apply an AI-first mindset to identify opportunities to automate and simplify financial reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes.
  • Prepare accounting entries, including reclassification entries, while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Track expenses and purchase orders (POs) and ensure accurate accruals are captured for monthly and quarterly close.
  • Maintain strong financial rigor and collaborate with accounting and finance partners to support accurate reporting.
Skills / Qualifications
  • 6+ years of FP&A experience or equivalent experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or analytics.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial forecasting, financial analysis, or analytical modeling.
  • Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proven ability to translate business results and financial data into clear, insightful, and actionable stories for leadership.
  • Experience working in high-growth software or technology environments is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner across all organizational levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, financial modeling, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn, initiate, manage, and execute projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure with a collaborative and humble approach.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase preferred.
  • Experience working within a FinTech/payments business is a plus.
